Mom. Since 2006.

Being a Mom is more than a title. It is a complete change of you as a human being. A change to your body physically, changes mentally (hello? mommy brain?), I even had changes to my personality. Being a Mom is being the world to a little being. My son depends on me for everything and sometimes, I can't stand it. I try to teach him to do his own thing and be independent. I guess that's why the baby stage was so hard for me. I loved it once he started walking and talking and could express himself.

As Adrian's mom, I am a personal chef, chauffeur, referee, cheering squad, maid, teacher, super-hero expert, jungle-gym, personal shopper, seamstress, ATM, photographer, stylist, nurse and dictionary

Being a Mom is definitely the most challenging job I have ever had. It has pushed me to my limit countless times. It has also shown me how to love and love unconditionally. Each new day brings new experiences, new challenges, new victories. I learn and grow daily just as much as my son does.

I want to wish all my fellow bloggy moms a Happy Mother's Day! I hope your children take the opportunity to show you just how amazing you are! Have a wonderful weekend!!

  3. Amen! Being a mom is definitely a change. I know what you mean. I did not fancy the baby stage either. I loved when they started getting bigger. Now, they are able to fend for themselves, clean, cook, (no driving yet, but can't wait for that stage).

  7. Being a mom has taught me so much about life. And it is so fascinating to watch my children grow and experience the world. With 4 teens in the house, my job now is to teach them appropriate responsibility and independence. My Mother's Day this year was tainted by a passive aggressive ex but I'm hoping next year will be a whole lot better. If my ex won't support me as an important figure in my children's lives it's got to be up to me. I've learned some important lessons--but how these instances affect my children--that's what concerns me. Divorce provides all kinds of learning opportunities--and how we model ourselves directly reflects onto our children. It is so, so hard to model appropriate behavior when an ex acts out.

    1. Wow Nicole, thanks for sharing! Yes exes can be a pain but I take it as an opportunity to teach the children patience and how to get along with others. (At least that's what I tell myself, LOL) Hang in there!

  8. I'm gearing up to have my first child this fall, and I both looking forward to all those wonderful moments and anticipating the challenging ones. I worked in a family support program previously, and if there is anything taught me is what an amazing but incredibly challenging job it is to be a parent.

    Happy SITS day!
